Hey, Obama, leave our kids alone! [Update: White House and Dept of Ed Scrub & Revise Suggested Classroom Activities]

On Sept 8 Obama is planning a National Day of Indoctrination directed exclusively towards school children all the way from Pre K to grade 12. He wants to be broadcast in every school across the US so he can have a little talk with your child.

Kids don’t need no indoctrination.
Kids don’t need no thought control.
No propaganda in the classroom.
Obama, leave OUR kids alone.

Sherri Administrator of the conservative web forum ‘Save Our Country Now’ puts my feelings into words.
Apparently, Our Beloved Leader, Barack Hussein Obama, the most merciful, Lion of the Masses, Protector of the Common Man and Omnipotent Parental Figure, will give an address on September 8 to America’s school children. The audience will be all children, preK-12. In protest of the forced ObamaTV viewing in classrooms across the nation everyone is encouraged to participate in a National Skip Day and keep your kids home. Take the opportunity to teach your kids true life lessons and not subject them to Obama propaganda. Maybe even use the day to make protest posters for the 912 March on DC!!
The U.S. Department of Education, apparently with the expanded role of overtly propagandizing America’s youngsters, has thoughtfully prepared “learning materials” for teachers to use in preparation for this historic and truly unprecedented event. They have been very thorough, preparing “Classroom Materials” in two separate packages, one directed at children “preK-6″ the other of students in grades “7-12.” Note: “preK-6″ implies that the Dear Beloved Leader anticipates his message being broadcast to pre-kindergarten children.
And as I do not have a child in the public school system (Thank God) I’ll let Stephen Kruiser (who does) rant from personal experience.
It all started with a top-down coordinated effort by the Obama transition team, teachers unions and public education officials to tell the youth of America why the new president was the coolest kid on the block. Taking the cue like a perfect union automaton, my daughter’s 5th grade teacher then sent an email detailing the bash (including a potluck brunch!) they were going to have for the inauguration, complete with the lesson plans distributed by Team Lightbringer.
Had there been big elementary school love-fests during the inaugurations of George W. Bush?
**crickets**
Exactamundo! If GW had applied these tactics the left would of been up in arms.
Obama crosses more lines than he should ever consider crossing. Enough is enough!
Arne Duncan Obama’s Secretary of Educational Indoctrination sent this letter out announcing Obama’ brainwashing plans to principles across the country.
Letter From (US Dept of Education) Secretary Arne Duncan to School Principals
August 26, 2009Please note that the time of this speech has changed to 12:00 noon eastern standard time. (Noon? When do the children get to eat their lunches? Or is the spoon fed leftist pablum all they should expect as sustenance?)
Dear Principal:
In a recent interview with student reporter, Damon Weaver, President Obama announced that on September 8 — the first day of school for many children across America — he will deliver a national address directly to students on the importance of education. The President will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for their learning. He will also call for a shared responsibility and commitment on the part of students, parents and educators to ensure that every child in every school receives the best education possible so they can compete in the global economy for good jobs and live rewarding and productive lives as American citizens.
Since taking office, the President has repeatedly focused on education, even as the country faces two wars, the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression and major challenges on issues like energy and health care. The President believes that education is a critical part of building a new foundation for the American economy. Educated people are more active civically and better informed on issues affecting their lives, their families and their futures.
This is the first time an American president has spoken directly to the nation’s school children about persisting and succeeding in school. We encourage you to use this historic moment to help your students get focused and begin the school year strong. I encourage you, your teachers, and students to join me in watching the President deliver this address on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. It will be broadcast live on the White House website www.whitehouse.gov 12:00 noon eastern standard time.
In advance of this address, we would like to share the following resources: a menu of classroom activities for students in grades preK-6 and for students in grades 7-12. These are ideas developed by and for teachers to help engage students and stimulate discussion on the importance of education in their lives. We are also staging a student video contest on education. Details of the video contest will be available on our website www.ed.gov in the coming weeks.
On behalf of all Americans, I want to thank our educators who do society’s most important work by preparing our children for work and for life. No other task is more critical to our economic future and our social progress. I look forward to working with you in the months and years ahead to continue improving the quality of public education we provide all of our children.
Sincerely,
Arne Duncan
Some of the suggested activities:
Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important?
What do you think the President wants us to do? Does the speech make you want to do anything? Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?
Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. These would be collected and redistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals.

Michele Malkin reminds us of the pro-Obama teacher who brought a little girl nearly to tears:
” Obama zealot teachers like this one across the country will do all the extra-curricular bullying and haranguing for him. Remember:”
Shameless! Despicable! Child abuse! Will similar incidents happen across the country on Sept 8. Possibly. Because regardless of what the Narcissist in Chief or his legion of slobbering sycophantic minions think everyone does not worship and adore him. It is high time he got that thorough his thick arrogant skull.
The Malkin post brings to mind this previous post of mine, “[Another!] Video: School children raising their voices in praise of the Obamamessiah”

Exploiting children as propaganda tools. Damn creepy!
All Hail Dear Leader.
What next a choreographed goose step accompaniment?Look how young they are!
This is so far over the line, it is beyond the pale!

Link @YouTubeJust imagine if this happened when Bush was in office and instead of Obama as the subject of their praise… it was Bush.
All HELL would of broke loose.
Bill Ayers’ (Unrepentant domestic terrorist & longtime associate of Barack Obama) views on education in a 2006 speech at the World Economic Forum in Caracas, Venezuela.
This is my fourth visit to Venezuela, each time at the invitation of my comrade and friend Luis Bonilla, a brilliant educator and inspiring fighter for justice. Luis has taught me a great deal about the Bolivarian Revolution and about the profound educational reforms underway here in Venezuela under the leadership of President Chavez. We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution, and I’ve come to appreciate Luis as a major asset in both the Venezuelan and the international struggle—I look forward to seeing how he and all of you continue to overcome the failings of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane.
As an added punch…
Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.
-Vladimir Ilyich Lenin
When an opponent declares, “I will not come over to your side,” I calmly say, “Your child belongs to us already… What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.”
-Adolf Hitler
“Education is a weapon, whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.” -Josef Stalin
Over the top? You decide.
FYI: Conservatives on Twitter are using these hash tags. #NSD (national skip day) #keepyourhandsoffmykids the shorter version #handsoffkids and #PASS ( Parental Approved Skip School)
Send Obama a clear message. Keep your kids out of school on Sept 8. Take them to work with you or provide a more substantial learning environment by discussing the Bill Of Rights, the US Constitution etc.
Update:
When caught red handed they changed their tune…
In an acknowledgment that the Department of Education provided lesson plans written somewhat inartfully, surrounding the President Obama’s speech to students next Tuesday, the White House today announced that it had rewritten one of the sections in question.
…..
As one of the preparatory materials for teachers provided by the Department of Education, students had been asked to, “Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. “Today, after Republicans accused the White House of trying to indoctrinate school children with liberal propaganda the White House and the Department of Education changed the section to now read, “Write letters to themselves about how they can achieve their short‐term and long‐term education goals.”
…..
Mr. Obama will deliver his speech from Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia – yet his remarks will be broadcast live on the White House website and C-SPAN, which all schools were encouraged to show in their classrooms.
