Why is Barack Obama so ashamed of his old pals ACORN to the point of outright lying about his direct association with them, while ‘executive director’ of Project Vote in 1992?

What happened in 1992 when ACORN, Project Vote and Project Vote Executive Director Barack Obama worked together arm in arm? What does Obama know from having been an insider? Why can’t he just man up and admit the truth? No Obama does not care to take the high road. Instead he prefers to maliciously smear those speaking out on this topic.

It is deplorable that Obama uses his website “Fight the Smears” promoted as a place to get facts about smears to OUTRIGHT LIE. Make no mistake America, each time Obama spouts his lies publicly it is no different than if he were standing directly in front of each of you and lying straight to your faces. Are you comfortable with that? I am not speaking of campaign promises, most if not all politicians bite off more than they can chew when fighting for a win at the polls. I am speaking of Obama’s blatant lies about his past associations.

Let’s get this exposed lie party started, shall we.

Obama at one time was proud of his connection to ACORN. Here he basically is saying he, Project Vote and ACORN were fellow organizers working closely together.

“I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

When Obama met with ACORN leaders in November (Considering the date of this quote I’m assuming he is referring to November 2007) , he reminded them of his history with ACORN and his beginnings in Illinois as a Project Vote organizer, a nonprofit focused on voter rights and education.

I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when >I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

But once ACORN began facing not so flattering allegations in which the relativity unknown group became the focus of national attention during election ‘08 (because of Obama’s ACORN past), Barack Obama took a few steps back in time and tried to cover his tracks in relation to the Obama-ACORN-Project Vote connection.

Exhibit A: During the last presidential debate (October 15 2008) between Barack Obama and John McCain –Obama lies.

It had nothing to do with us. We were not involved. The only involvement I’ve had with ACORN was I represented them alongside the U.S. Justice Department in making Illinois implement a motor voter law that helped people get registered at DMVs.

Exhibit B: Here is a screen shot taken from Obama’s Fight the Smears page dedicated to supposedly fighting the smears regarding Obama and ACORN. Where his campaign took great pains in an attempt to cover up the association again.

Keith Kelleher is the Head Organizer of SEIU Local 880 and has served the union for over 21 years, helping to make Local 880 a national model for homecare and childcare organizing.

Did SEIU Local 880 Board Member Kelleher smear Obama or is Obama busted? SEIU is hardly a right wing conspiracy smear machine. Those are his words. His words written in the Spring of 2008, directly tie Obama to ACORN through Project Vote.

Kelleher by the way remains on the SEIU LOcal 880 board to this day according to their website. Most importantly Kelleher was an active member of SEIU Local 880 back during the time Barack Obama as director of project Vote gathered SEIU Local 880 and it’s sister org ACORN under the Project Vote umbrella. So I would say he knows of which he speaks.

Excuse me Peter Dreier but…

At rallies and media events, McCain and Palin repeated this charge and demanded that Obama disclose his ties with ACORN — echoing attacks (demands) that first appeared in conservative publications.

…McCain and Palin were right to question Obama’s association with ACORN.  It is people like you and the adoring MSM who were accomplices to Obama and his lies.

Politifact, who ironically enough the Obama administration points America towards to back up of their Glenn Beck smear page titled Reality Check.

Is either complicit in the Obama-ACORN-Project Vote cover up or did not bother to do deep investigative fact checking. The later of course is most likely but doesn’t America deserve the whole truth?

In 1992, Obama directed Project Vote, “an arm of ACORN that also encouraged voter registration,” according to the McCain campaign. Obama did direct Project Vote, but it is a separate organization from ACORN. This year, Project Vote and ACORN worked together on a nationwide voter registration drive, and they have worked together on other initiatives in the past. But they are separate organizations. We didn’t find any evidence to indicate they had a relationship during the 1992 Illinois drive. And even if they did, Obama clearly directed the drive for the Project Vote organization. We couldn’t find any allegations of impropriety related to the 1992 drive. We rate this statement False.

According to the administration in charge, Fox news has a “perspective” and is not a ‘real news org’.  Which of course is preposterous, petty demonizing by an admin who fears truths seeing the light of day. Their goal to discredit Fox so that Fox’s reports will not be looked upon as real news, to be shrugged off and ignored entirely. Yet Team Obama continues to outright lie about Obama’s involvement with the badly battered, criminally inclined ACORN and their dual connection to Project Vote in 1992.

Why is this not considered real news? On the chance Kelleher’s claims are false should they not be debunked forthwith? Shouldn’t Obama’s attack dogs go after Keith Kelleher and the claims he makes in his “Growth of a Modern Union Local: A People’s History of  SEIU Local 880” as an Obama smear piece, ASAP? Where is Media Matters on this? Have the unofficial Obama gate keepers fallen asleep at their post?

All snark aside, the question is — can Media Matters not see any further than their source “Obama’s Fight the Smears”? Cue *eye roll* Sigh…why should I expect a shred of honesty from a group who are ashamed of their sugar daddy George Soros.

Obama serves up his twisted version of reality by twisting the truth so hard it is barely recognizable, if at all.

Truths are  now “smears”, lies are now “facts”. I am not talking of a piece of yellow journalism. I am speaking of a sitting president and his personal campaign website. America, do you not see what is wrong with that picture?

Keith Kelleher, Recording Secretary, has served as the Head Organizer of Local 880 for over 23 years. Prior to coming to Local 880, Keith worked as a community and union organizer.

Hmm… Not sure if it means anything, but wanted to point it out none the less.
