TEHRAN — Iranian officials arrested a Japanese reporter and two Canadian reporters during anti-government protests this week and charged them with “unauthorized reporting,” the semiofficial Fars news agency reported Friday. It did not identify the reporters or their news organizations. The three reporters join two others whose agencies said they were also arrested during Wednesday’s protests marking the 30th anniversary of the U.S. Embassy here. Agence France Presse said its local reporter Farhad Pouladi was detained and the International Federation of Journalists said a Danish journalist, Niels Krogsgaard, was arrested in connection with the demonstration.

“The claim about the arrest of the AFP journalist is under investigation,” the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency cited Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dowlatabadi as saying Friday. Iranian media gave no further details on the other arrested foreigners. All are still believed to be in custody.[...]

Hopefully they are released soon and unharmed.

Seven people have been reportedly killed and another 12 wounded at Fort Hood near Killeen, officials with the post said early Thursday afternoon.

Officials told NBC DFW that one gunman is in custody and a second remains on the run.

A message on the Fort Hood Web site said, “The post is on lock down.  This is not a drill. Please stay inside.  It is an emergency situation.”

KXXV-TV in Killeen is reporting that all available EMS units near Killeen are being dispatched to Fort Hood. KCEN-TV is reporting the suspects were in military uniform.

WASHINGTON — The Army says seven people were killed and 20 wounded in a pair of shootings at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas. An Army spokesman at the Pentagon says the shootings began about 1:30 p.m. Thursday at a personnel and medical processing center at Fort Hood.

The spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Nathan Banks, says two shooters were apparently involved. There is no word yet on who they were, nor on identities of the dead.

Banks says the second incident took place at a theater on the sprawling base.

There is a reported possible third shooter.

12 dead 31 wounded US Soldiers are reported to be the assailants.

It still could be an “Islamic mole attack” We can not rule that out at this time. I am not saying it is, just saying it is a possibility.

WASHINGTON — Officials say a shooting suspect at Fort Hood has been identified as Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan, who they say was an Army mental health professional.

A law enforcement official said Hasan, believed to be in his late 30s, was killed after opening fire at the base. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the case publicly.

A defense official speaking on condition of anonymity says Hasan was a mental health professional — an Army psychologist or psychiatrist.

It was not known whether he was treating people at the base.

Hasan killed US soldiers in at the Fort Hood Soldier Readiness center for medical processing prior to deployment. Where Soldiers were present preparing for deployment to Iraq. He must of decided to kill US Soldiers before they had a chance to kill Al-Qaeda or other insurgents in Iraq. An act of jihad.

Shooter Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan’s cousin in a phone interview with Shep Smith. He is not a convert to Islam as I previously reported.

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan may have praised suicide bombers online:

WASHINGTON – Federal law enforcement officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats.

The officials say they are still trying to confirm that he was the author. They say an official investigation was not opened.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case.

One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.[...]

Nadal Hasan is not dead. He is in stable condition.  Gen Cole does not rule out shooting as a terrorist act.

FORT HOOD, Texas — A U.S. Army spokesman says the Fort Hood shootings suspect is alive and was not killed by authorities responding to the attack.

Lt. Gen. Bob Cone also says the death toll from the attack remains 12 after another victim died.

Authorities said immediately after Thursday’s attack that they had killed the suspected shooter. But Cone now says the suspected shooter is alive and stable condition.

Cone offered little explanation to reporters at a news conference as to why the suspect was believed dead, saying only there was confusion at the hospital.

Fox News ticker: Nadal Hasan’s parents were of Jordanian descent.

But according to the Washington Post Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, is a U.S. citizen whose parents are Palestinians from the West Bank.

Hasan is a U.S.-born Muslim of Palestinian descent whose parents came to the United States from the West Bank. He joined the military after high school and earned medical degrees as he rose through the ranks, family members said.

This could be the “blog posting” that may have been written by Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan’s that caught the attention of authorities equating suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades. It was in response to this document on Scribd: Martyrdom in Islam Versus Suicide Bombing.

NidalHasan scribbled: There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that “IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE” and Allah (SWT) knows best

Which of course is an ignorant Islamist white wash of suicide bombers. As we all know jihadi’s target more than Soldiers. They also murder fellow muslims women and children included. They do NOT discriminate.

News Channel 25’s Henry Rosoff has learned the Hasan, was giving all of his furniture along with copies of the Qu’ ran to neighbors Thursday morning.

Neighbor Patricia Villa said Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan came over to her apartment on Wednesday morning and told her he was going to be deployed on Friday.

She said he gave her some frozen broccoli, some spinach, T-shirts, shelves and a new Quran, the Muslim holy book. She said he returned on Thursday morning and gave her his air mattress, several briefcases and a desk lamp.

Villa said Hasan then offered her $60 to clean his apartment Friday morning after he supposedly was to leave.

Sounds to me like he was definitely preparing ahead of time for the ending of not only the lives of his future victims but for his own to soon be over.

Witnesses Reported Gunman Shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ -WSJ

Matt Lauer interviewed Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, the commanding officer at Fort Hood, on NBC’s Today Show Friday. Here is the video. Some main points:

Confirms that accounts from the scene had the shooter saying “Allahu Akbar,” or “God Is Great,” during the shootings.

“Allahu Akbar” is what jihadis shout right before they wage their attack. All we need to know that the massacre at Fort hood yesterday afternoon was committed by a jihadist. When I first reported this news I questioned that it may of been jihad. As you can see by update 7 I was convinced.

Keep the bastard breathing Fort Hood, so you can make him talk. I want to know each and every detail.

(Gawker) The gunman who killed 12 people today at Ft. Hood appears, based on current media reports, to be Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan who was listed as a participant in a Homeland Security Policy Institute’s presidential transition task force last year.

The task force was not officially affiliated with the White House. It was a project of the Homeland Security Policy Institute, an independent thinktank housed at George Washington University, aimed at drafting policy recommendations for the incoming Obama administration.

Nidal Malik Hasan was born in Virginia but didn’t think of himself as an American: on a form he filled out at the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, he gave his nationality not as “American” but as “Palestinian.” A mosque official found that curious, saying: “I don’t know why he listed Palestinian. He was not born in Palestine.”

Center. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has a doctorate in psychiatry from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. While there, NPR reports, Hasan was “put on probation early in his postgraduate work” and was “disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues.” Read it all.

A Muslim veteran affairs organization says it has not received reports of harassment from Islamic soldiers, contrary to claims by a relative of the man authorities say is responsible for the worst mass killing on a U.S. military base.

Abdul-Rashid Abdullah, deputy director of the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council, told FoxNews.com that the nonprofit group has not received a single report recently of a U.S. soldier being harassed “simply because he was Muslim.”

“That kind of report is inconsistent with what we’ve heard,” Abdullah said prior to a press conference in Washington to denounce Thursday’s shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, that left 13 dead and 30 wounded. Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a 39-year-old Army psychiatrist who was reportedly due to be deployed later this month, is accused in the mass shooting. [...]
