No mention of jihad terror. What. So. Ever. Of. Course. Not.
(Plainfield,IN – November 08, 2009) The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) today announced the launch of a special fund for the benefit of the families of the victims of the senseless Ft. Hood attacks that killed 13 soldiers and injured over 30 others. Recognizing the important sacrifices made by our soldiers and their families, we feel it is imperative for all Americans to join hands in supporting those affected by this tragic incident.
ISNA is collaborating with various national Muslim and interfaith organizations on this humanitarian initiative and mosques throughout the country are expected to join fellow Americans in contributing to help the families of the victims.
The failure to name the “various national Muslim and interfaith organizations….and mosques throughout the country” they are collaborating with –red flag.
But is it still a lovely gesture? No it’s an outrage. I do not trust them for one minute. How dare they use the deaths of American Soldiers in a jihadist terror attack on American soil to [likely] siphon off funds for themselves.
Why would I say that? Why don’t I trust them?

According to terrorism expert Steven Emerson, ISNA “is a radical group hiding under a false veneer of moderation”; “convenes annual conferences where Islamist militants have been given a platform to incite violence and promote hatred” (for instance, al Qaeda supporter and PLO official Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi was invited to speak at an ISNA conference); has held fundraisers for terrorists (after Hamas leader Mousa Marzook was arrested and eventually deported in 1997, ISNA raised money for his defense); has condemned the U.S. government’s post-9/11 seizure of Hamas’ and Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s financial assets; and publishes a bi-monthly magazine, Islamic Horizons, that “often champions militant Islamist doctrine.”
Adds Emerson: “I think ISNA has been an umbrella, also a promoter of groups that have been involved in terrorism. I am not going to accuse the ISNA of being directly involved in terrorism. I will say ISNA has sponsored extremists, racists, people who call for Jihad against the United States.”
Emerson further reports that ”In September 2002, a full year after the 9/11 attacks, speakers at ISNA’s annual conference still refused to acknowledge Bin Laden’s role in the terrorist attacks.”
ISNA was named in a May 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document –titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” – as one of the Brotherhood’s likeminded “organizations of our friends” who shared the common goal of destroying America and turning it into a Muslim nation. These “friends” — which included also the Islamic Circle of North America, Muslim Youth of North America, the Muslim Students Association, the Muslim Arab Youth Association, the Islamic Association for Palestine, the United Association for Studies and Research, and the International Institute of Islamic Thought — were identified by the Brotherhood as groups that could help teach Muslims “that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ’sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands … so that … God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”

Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) president, Ingrid Mattson stated, “I don’t understand why the Muslim-American community has to take responsibility for him. The Army has had at least as much time and opportunity to form and shape this person as the Muslim community.”

ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in the same Hamas funding case that named CAIR as a Muslim Brotherhood group – in the same Brotherhood document that speaks of its goal of destroying Western civilization from within. Federal prosecutors last summer rejected claims that ISNA was unfairly named an unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case.

It must be evident to you from this discussion that the objective of Islamic ‘Jihad’ is to eliminate the rule of an un-Islamic system and establish in its stead an Islamic system of State rule. News broke Monday morning that Fort Hood killer Nidal Hassan tried to reach out to Al Qaeda, and that many intelligence agencies were aware of it. 4 days after the Fort Hood killings, however, the Department of Homeland Security’s website has yet to post anything on the massacre. In what appears more and more to have been a terrorist attack at the Texas Fort, the department created because of 9/11 is still silent.

Instead of warning the American people of possible homegrown terrorism like the Fort Hood may be, Napolitano has decided that the possibility of anti-Muslim sentiment among innocent Americans is more important.
