shoot the messenger

In perpetual campaign mode, Team Obama continues to shoot the messenger in their 'smear campaign' against FOX News

Shooting the messenger…
Anita Dunn -White House Communications Director in a phone interview with the NY Times Oct 11 2009:

“We’re going to treat them the way we would treat an opponent,” said Anita Dunn, the White House communications director, in a telephone interview on Sunday. “As they are undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House, we don’t need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave.”

In what bizarro world does Anita Dunn live? The press is a free one, they are not to do the bidding of the sitting Administration. How do they expect FOX News to behave? I’ll tell you, Team Obama would rather they bow and scrape as the rest. I’m sure that would please The Obama immensely. But that is not the American way! If Obama would like ALL media to drool over him he should scoot on over to Venezuela and usurp his buddy Hugo Chavez. He is so damn narcissistic and pathologically so, he actually thinks he is the be all end all, most super peachiest dude to have ever graced this earth, since the beginning of time. He can not fathom why everyone in the universe is not in love with him. That is a most dangerous personality trait for a president of the United States, my friends.

The White House has limited administration members’ appearances on the network in recent weeks. In mid-September, when the White House booked Mr. Obama on a round robin of Sunday morning talk shows, it skipped Fox and called it an “ideological outlet,” leading the “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace to appear on Bill O’Reilly’s prime-time show and call the administration “the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington.”
Ms. Dunn called that remark juvenile and stressed that administration officials would still talk to Fox, and that Mr. Obama was likely to be interviewed on the network in the future. But, she added, “we’re not going to legitimize them as a news organization.”

Juvenile and ideological, so sayeth the ideological juvenile pot. Is it possible Dunn is that completely oblivious to the irony of her statement?

Boo-freaking-hoo Obama. The truth hurts.

crybaby ht_the_truth_060727_ssv“I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration,” he said in June, though he did not mention Fox by name. He added, “You’d be hard pressed if you watched the entire day to find a positive story about me on that front.”

The questionable politics of Obama and his connections/ associates should be exposed. Instead he and his lackeys always try to cover up the truth by whining and lying each chance they get. They insult the American public each time they do, we all are NOT as stupid as they would like to believe. It is high time they realize some of us still have free will and a free mind. And are not weak minded as those who have fallen under his spell.

In all reality it does not matter if Obama ever appears on FOX he would lie his way right through the entire interview anyways.

Whiner-in-Chief

The Obama administration really needs to get over itself.

What do ya say folks, willing to donate to the ‘Buy Obama some big boy pants’ fund raising drive? Heh

obama boo hoo 2
Bare Naked politics –deplorable
My God can the White House be any more petulant and childish?

What an ill advised strategy, when dissing and dismissing FOX they simultaneously help to boost FOX’s ratings, while shooting themselves in the foot. Bottom line is the Obama Admin can not tolerate dissent in any way shape or form. That would be all to American now wouldn’t it? Heh Nor can they mange to debate with facts instead of verbal attacks. Not that Team Obama would recognize a fact if it walked up and smacked them in their collective faces.

Gateway Pundit

The White House also whined about FOX News this week in TIME Magazine.
Obama, of course, has received a record amount of positive coverage from the media this year.

ANITA DUNN: The reality of it is FOX News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party…. What I think is fair to say about FOX, and certainly the way we view it, is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party.

DUNN: When he goes on FOX he understands he’s not going on it really as a news network at this point. He’s going on to debate the opposition, and that’s fine. He never minds doing that.

With those words Dunn’s entire argument blows up in her face. When claiming FOX to be the “opposition”, Dunn all but admits when Obama appears on the other news networks he is in friendly home territory. Chatting with fellow members of the home team.

KURTZ: On that point, (inaudible), I want to read a statement from FOX senior V.P. Michael Clemente, who said the following, we’ll put it up on the screen. “An increasing number of viewers are relying on FOX News for both news and opinion, and the average news consumer can certainly distinguish between the A-section of the newspaper and the editorial page, which is what our programming represents.

So with all due respect to anyone who might still be confused between news reporting and vibrant opinion, my suggestion would be to talk about the stories and the facts rather than attack the messenger, which over time has never worked.” Your response?

DUNN: Yes. I think there have been numerous independent analyses that have looked at the difference between CNN, ABC, NBC — ABC and FOX, and have seen there is a very different story selection. There’s a very even down to the chyron they run below stories that, you know, this isn’t us making it up, Howie. You study the media. You know that it’s not just their opinion shows.

DUNN: Let’s be realistic here, Howie. They are, you know, they’re widely viewed as part of the Republican Party. Take their talking points. Put ‘em on the air. Take their opposition research. Put ‘em on the air. And that’s fine, but let’s not pretend they’re a news network the way CNN is.

CNN was not airing Obama admin talking points when they aired this ObamaCare kiddie propaganda? Of course they were. Do these people even live in reality?

What about when CNN Protected Dear Leader Obama by  fact checking Saturday Night Live?

Then there was CNN’s Susan Roesgen display of  hypocritical superciliousness.

And…ABC the Obama state run media pulls this stunt:  “During Healthcare ‘Special’ ABC Refuses Paid Ads That Oppose Obamacare

Obama talking points galore! ABC- All Barack Channel: Networks balance reports on AMA speech, but ABC outrages public with week of health care coverage, ‘World News,’ ‘GMA’ to be aired from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Speaking of ABC. Video: In True MSM Subservient Fashion NBC’s Brian Williams Bows to Obama

And lest we forget there was Janeane Garofalo’s appearance on Keith Olberman.

The actress went on to bash the GOP on MSNBC Thursday because it had “crystallized into the white power movement” as well as Fox News, which she said has captured the “Klan demo[graphic].”

Olberman nodded in agreement to all of Garofalo’s ignorant charges. Video at link.

Yep all networks other than  FOX are completely unbiased. As long as the Obama admin keeps pretending that is the case,  all will be well in the Obama fantasy land of unicorns and rainbows.

I am not saying FOX does not tend to lean right but what I am saying is that all the rest mostly lean left.

The works range from paintings of Native Americans by George Catlin to a series of stark, colorful portraits of African-American daily life by William H. Johnson. In their private residence the Obamas tend to favor big bold colors and boxy modern works like “Homage to the Square” by Josef Albers and Mark Rothko’s “Red Band.” The Obamas borrowed two bronzes by French sculptor Edgar Degas from the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington.

Complete list at link.

For my taste I found most to be uninspiring. Though I did find these three pieces to be compelling.

obama wh painting Ed Ruscha I think Ill

"I think I'll ... " by the Californian artist Ed Ruscha. It deals with the subject of indecision.

"Black Like Me No. 2," 1992, Glenn Ligon a paint-stick-on-canvas work from 1992, was among the works chosen. The painting’s title echoes John Howard Griffin’s 1961 memoir, “Black Like Me,” in which Griffin, who was white, artificially darkened his skin to travel in the South as a black man.

"The Bow," a bronze sculpture by Edgar Degas.

The others (not all) as viewable in a NY Times slideshow:

“Watusi (Hard Edge),” by Alma Thomas, a longtime Washington resident who is an African-American painter.

“Sky Light,” 1973, by Alma Thomas.

“Berkeley, No. 52,” 1955, by Richard Diebenkorn. (horrid)

“A Foot War Party in Council – Mandan,” by George Catlin. (Native American)

“Buffalo Chase, with Accidents,” by George Catlin. (Native American)

With all due respect, Native American art or the depiction there of has never done a thing for me.

The Electric Telegraph patent model, May 1, 1849, by Samuel F.B. Morse. Patent 6,420. (This one is kinda cool It is the actual patent model)

“Nice,” 1954, by Nicolas De Stael.

A portrait of President Harry S. Truman by Frank O. Salisbury. Oil on canvas, 1946. (This one is a curious choice. Or am I missing something? Any theories why Truman?)

I do enjoy art and have quite the eclectic taste, but most of the pieces displayed in the slide show, were in my opinion for the lack of a better term…bland.

According to the accompanying article0 Through 9” by Jasper Johns  is another selection. Now I’d like to have that one myself.
